2024 Camp Counselor

Are you an outdoor enthusiast who loves to play with children? Then this is the summer job for you!

We are looking for people who have lots of energy and patience to guide children through the great outdoors in locations around Rockbridge County.

You have two options to be an outdoor guide - for children ages 3-5 and 6-9.

Pay is competitive and bonus offered if you work all 6 weeks!

Qualifications & Requirements

-18 years or older

-able to walk long distances

-patience and kindness towards children

-motivate children with a positive attitude

-completes a background check and Child Abuse and Neglect training upon hiring (free online training through Virginia Department of Education)

-problem solving skills

-available for at least 2 weeks of Summer Camp dates

-flexibility in schedule when children need to rest, eat, or change activities

-responsible and confident in making safety decisions

-no use of cell phone unless making contact with director, or parents

-proficient in time management and wears a watch

1) Submit an interest form (button above).

2) Schedule a zoom meeting for an interview.

3) Complete background check and online training.

4) Complete In person training - 3 hours at a time convenient to you.
