Summer Camps


2026 Summer Camp Programs

Pre School Summer Camp (ages 3-5) - Students will ride in the Blue Ridge Outdoor School Van to a different outdoor location. This program is similar to our pre school program you can read about here. Sign Up Here. Spots are limited to 10.


Summer Camp (ages 6 - 9) The outdoor location varies each day. Families are sent a Summer Camp Guidebook after they register. The meeting locations each day will be within a ten minute drive of downtown Lexington. (Jordan's Point, Glen Maury Park, Uncas Trail, W&L back campus)  Parents will meet the teachers at the respective drop off point each day at 9am and pick up at the same spot at 3:00pm. Spots are limited and will sell out. After registration is complete - you will receive an invoice and instructions to pay. Sign Up Here.


Art in the Wild (ages 9-13) | The students will be based at Grace Episcopal in downtown Lexington, Virginia. In the morning, students will be exploring 5 different art mediums (1 each day): scrape painting, acrylic on canvas, fabric paint, watercolor, acrylic markers, and pastels. We will take a break around lunch to explore the wood creek trail and collect treasures for our afternoon projects. The afternoon projects will be a rotation of vision boards, collages, building with nature, and sketch drawing. Spots are limited. ($260) After registration is complete - you will receive an invoice and instructions to pay. Sign Up here to be notified when registration opens. The Great Adventure (ages 9 - 13) Students will be driven in the school van to 5 different State Parks (one each day of the week) in the area such as Cave Mountain, Douthat State Park, Glen Maury Park, Lake Robertson, and Lake Sherando. We will hike, play games, and swim (or water play) each day. Campers should be comfortable with hiking long distances and swimming. ($350) Spots are limited to 20. After registration is complete - you will receive an invoice and instructions to pay. Sign Up Here (Dates will be finalized March 2026)

 

 

What to bring?


  • Back pack

  • Lunch box + snack

  • Water bottle

  • Hat

  • Comfortable shoes that can get wet

  • Extra change of clothes

  • Apply sunscreen before arrival

  • (Teachers will have more water, bug spray, and sunscreen)

What if it rains or there is a storm? 

If the forecast is calling for rain, please bring rain boots and a rain jacket (and umbrella if you wish) but the fun will carry on! Teachers have tarps and cords to make shelter if needed, and can move to a sheltered area. We will communicate with parents our weather plan if the forecast is calling for storms.
